Since vastly divergent tribes will be gathering at Burning Woman, we have gone to great lengths to allow for the preferences of each group to be honored. We ask that all participants try to respect the customs of others during the event and respect the land above all.

Those who prefer to celebrate with music and dance have been asked to limit their hours so that others may get some sleep. Those that have a preference for gun play have been asked to move fully out of range of the event: both sonically and ballistically. Those who choose to bring their animals are asked to follow BLM rules: be prepared to leash them at a moment's notice for the duration of the event and be prepared to scour the desert for any refuse they create. Further, we ask that animals be fed and watered copiously to prevent dehydration in the desert, or scavaging in other's kitchens.

Large groups are asked to provide their own waste removal. Smaller groups may benefit from joining together or perhaps participating in our "Borrow a Bucket - personal potty decorating contest". If they go for the bucket, they are encouraged to bring an extra tent or sheet for privacy, and to pack out their own remains. Instructions are almost done.

And finally, while a great number of fire performers and artists will be attending, we ask that no fire be brought within range of the Woman until after the lighting ceremony. We will be adding effects all around the area of the woman and the entire radius should be treated as hazardous.
